2010 Challenge Cup

The Challenge Cup is one of the two developmental state level tournaments that is open to all boys and girls teams, in age groups under 11 to under 19, that have not competed in the Championships Cup quarter finals. This tourament provides the opportunity for teams to advance to the US Youth Soccer President's Cup tournament.  Each Washington Youth Soccer state champion per gender age group, will represent the state at the Regional tournament.  2010's regional event will be held in Medford, Oregon.  Can your team compete with more than 300 teams participating from across the state for the 2010 Challenge Cup State Champions title!

Important Dates for Challenge Cup

  • Online Registration Closes
        BU15-U19 - November 23, 2009 5:00 p.m.
        BU11-U14 and GU11-U19 - December 21, 2009 5:00 p.m.
        Check with Association for their deadline
     
  • Roster Freeze Dates - Freeze dates are dependant on the first game of tournament play.  The dates per gender will be announced the same time the draw date and brackets are announced.  
  • Draw Date - TBA

    Elimins (if necessary) - Feb 21
    Quarters - Feb 27/28

 Regional Event - State Winners advance and represent Washington Youth Soccer

To participate in any of the four Washington Youth Soccer 2009-2010 State Cups each team must meet the following requirement: Teams must compete in one of the below leagues: 

1. A 4-team Washington Youth Soccer approved league during the current seasonal year within Washington Youth Soccer
2. A US Youth Soccer Regional League or US Youth Soccer National League
3. In another US Youth Soccer Member State Association League with Washington Youth Soccer’s permission. 

**The only exception to this league requirement is the under 19 age group. They do not have to participate in league competition during the current seasonal year.
