Why a constitutional convention?
Since Washington Youth Soccer’s inception, the original operational and governing structures that were established have provided a solid foundation for membership growth and the development of innovative programs. However, these structures have not changed very much from our startup 41 years ago as an all volunteer organization to today’s $2.8 M organization with 128,000 members and nine staff members. In order to provide soccer playing youth with the best possible soccer experience, and make Washington Youth Soccer as responsive as possible to our membership, we have launched a constitutional convention process in 2008, and through this web site, seek your feedback and input.
